OUR OWN CORNER.
NYMPHS OF SPRING.
Ere the sun has risen on early spring dawns. They come scattering daisies o'er fields and lawns. They tit blossoms and buds on the gaunt bare trees. And blow fragrant perfumes to the gentle breeze. Their rippling laughter peals sweetly through the air. As they frolic ii'ith Spring, their young mistress fair, Laughing as the dew-wet grass ticldcs their feet: But when the sun rises, the dim world to greet. And each lilt'e flower ha* softlg been kissed. The nymphs fade away with the faint morning mist. —Original* Marin Blomfield, Cliff Rd.. St. Hellers
