MOCK SUICIDE CASES.
A marked recrudescence in suicido in Budapest, has brought to light tho fact that mock suicide has become a fashion among thoso who desiro to rouso pity in tho hearts of lovers or creditors. £he mock suicido is invariably committed with a popular drug, taken in a quantity sufficient to cause illness without fatal results, and beforo it tho " suicido" writOF n letter laying the blame at tho door of tho lover or creditor, who naturally hastens to smooth over difficulties while the victim is being restored to health. The wife of a Budapest lawyer, an adept at the game, is stated, to havo been brought to a hospital three times after quarrels with hor husband.
