EX-SERVICE WOMEN.

PRESIDENT HONOURED.

An'afternoon tea in honour of Mrs. Basil Cadoux, who is retiring, owing to illhealth, from her position as president of the Ex-Service Wpmen's Association, wfts given, by the members at the Tudor Tea Rooms yesterday. The association colours of blue and gold had been effectively used for decorations, tall vases of daffodils being arranged in the centre of the long tables, while small posies of blue flowers were placed in front of oach guest. During the afternoon Mrs. L. P. Leary, acting-prosident o| the association, presented Mrs. Cadoux with an Oriental cigarette box and a silver and greenstone ash tray from the members. Referring to Mrs. Cadoux's splendid work in the past, Mrs. Leary expressed regret at the necessity for her resignation, and spoke of her willingness to holp anyone, particularly the wives and children of returned soldiers, who were in need. Mrs. Cadoux thanked the members for their gift, and for tho kind wishes extended to hor.
