A successful playing year was reported nt tho annual meeting of tho City Cricket Club last evening. Tlio chairman, Mr. Crawford Watson, said the formation of the Thames-Hauraki Cricket Association .would go a long way toward fostering a community of interest between tho plains *nd Thames clubs. It was decided to ask the. association to open tho season with a match between City and Kopuaralii for the Crawford [Watson Cup. The following officers were elected: — 'Patron, Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P.; president, Mr. Arthur Golden; vice-presi-dents, Messrr. D. Ganlcy, 11. R. Purnell, iW. White, R. L. Harvey, E. 0. Brownlee, T. Cucksey, J. 11. Ensor, D. Mackay, J. W. Arbury; secretary-treasurer, Mr. 0. Twentyman; field captain, Mr. Crawford Watson; vice-captain, Mr. J. Moran; committee, the captain, vice-captain, club captain, secretary and Mr. J. Hill: delegates to association, Messrs. J. Hill and L. Crawford Watson.
TIIE TAUMARUNUI CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAUMARUNUI, Fiiday. The annual meeting of tho Taumarunui Cricket Club attracted a large attendance. The president, Mr. E. Edwards, presided. The following officers were elected :—President, Mr. E. Edwards; vice-presidents, J Jr. E. Howard and Messrs. R. Craig and P. W. Rutherford; auditor, Mr. M. 11. Wilks; executivo committee, Messrs. A. K. M. Kerr, E. Real, J. J. Leadbeator, J. Cameron, Ray Winger. <l. B. Ilostick find the-secretary; selection committee, Messrs. R. W. Thomas, C. Halliday and A. M. Kerr; delegates to the Taumarunui Cricket Association, Mossrs. E. Edwards, W. H. Hughes, R. W'. Thomas, A. E. M. Kerr, C. Halliday and G,. Rutherford: secretary, Mr. G. S. Bruce; treasurer, Mr. G. Rutherford.
