MANY FINES IMPOSED.
Numerous prosecutions for Sunday trading wcio heard in the Police Court yesterday, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. J™* £1 <l"d costs were imposed on the following:—Ethel Armstrong, P. Cunmhgham, J. Cox, W. A. Cadwalhuler, O. Pjwis, M. Daly, K. M. Keith, Lysa Kirk, Ada Loekhart, Catherine Lvons, P. Morrison, Nellie Man-is, C. ft. Merila, L. Vinirig, C. A. Ward and A. Wilson. j Pleading guilty to selling unwholesome Vegetables, Ah Kee was fined £2 and costs. Rub-Inspector McCarthy said that Ah Kee sold two bags of potatoes with a' few layers of good ones on the top. It •was found thnt CO per cent, of the potatoes wero unfit for consumption. / For working at his trade on Sunday, ■ G. R. IJrqiibart was fined £1 and costs. Mr. McCarthy stated that defendant was found driving a car with a trade number, lie admitted that he was taking it out to demonstrate to a possible buyer.
