NOVEL BROADCAST SUCCESS.

The Cathedral Chamber, Waitomo Caves, proved an oxcellent broadcasting studio last ovonmg, when a special concert arranged by the Broadcasting Company and the Tourist Department was relayed from there over land-lines to Auckland and sent out to listeners by Station iya: • ~ ■ All the items came through clearly, and np fault was to be found with either the acoustics of the cave or the Tele-, graph Department's transmission by. wire. Mr. Cyril Towsey, the studio pianist, played tho accompaniments .and also contributed two solos. .

Advice has been Received by cablegram that a special wireless concert will be broadcast-from' Ne\y York to-morrow afternoon at approximately two o'clock,-New Zealand time, for }ho benefit of tho Byrd Expedition, and it will bo possible for Owners of short-wave sets in New Zealand to tine in.
