The champion cricket county, Nottingham, in their second innings against tho Rest of England made 309 runs (George Gunn 95). Robins took six wickets for 89 runs. The Rest of England made 389 in their second inning 3 and won by eight runs.
Nottingham seemed certain to win when the veteran Gunu and his son were batting splendidly together. The former was bowled off his pads. Nineteen runs woro required when tho last batsman went in, but Woolloy accepted a wonderful catch in tho slips before tho runs could be made.
