The social hall of the Community Sunshine Buildings in Nelson Street was most attractive looking for tho At Homo given by the ladies of the association for those who had helped at the recent "Forget-mo-not" street collection in aid of tho sunshine school. The presidont, Mrs. 1 erner, in welcoming the ma!ny guests, warmly thanked (he captains of tho various stations and their helpers who had worked so strenuously to make the day the success it was, and especially those who represented other social welfaro organisations.
Mrs. Fernei read the report and balance-sheet of the various stations, which,' with other donations since roceived, gave to dato the total of £912 4s. Among theso later donations was a sum of lis from two small sisters, who made posies of flowers and sold them by going from house to house iri their district. Another instance of children's sympathy with the cause was that of a sick young boy who gave hah" his "sick pay" to the Sunshine school fund. Afternoon tea was sorved by tho social' committee of tho ladies of tho association. The guests wete entertained with songs by Miss Freda Gaudin ; Mrs. Lee Cowio recited "The Other Wiso Man"; and a largo number of Training College students, who were among the guests of honour, gave much pleasure by their singing of several quaint old part-songs. Tho funds which havo been raised bv Community Sunshine A:iso«iation will soon take immediate effect in the form of a sunshine school for delicate children.
