The meeting of Maris t end Ponsonby in the final of the Koope Rooster competition of the Ancklami Rugby League should provide spectators at Carlaw Park to-morrow with a good exhibition of football. In t.be Belli or grade championship, which was won by Pousottby. Maris! was undefeated in the aitcond round, a performance it also recorded last season. Although Marist occupied a minor position in the senior championship, man? follower* of the code considered it a superior combination to that of Ponsonby. To-morrow's match should provide a good test as to the merits of the teams, and Ponsonby is eipeci-ed to fight hard to win. the trophy Marist.. which holds both the Roope Booster and Stormont Shield.
