MAN SAVED FROM SUICIDE
Two Sydney tramwaymen risked their lives in a desperate strugglo on the edgo of "The Gap" last week, with a man who expressed his determination to throw himself into tho sea.
On tho journey to Watson's Bay tho driver of the tram had a passenger on the seat bohind him. Tho strango demeanour of the passenger causod tho driver to watch him after he alighted. The passenger was seen to clamber through tho fence which guards tho edgo of tho cliffs and then to tako off his coat. Tho tram driver and the conductor noiselessly crept upon the man and grappled with him. He fought wildly to break from their grasp, and a breathless strugglo occurred near the brink of tho precipice. Finally tho man was overpowered and given into the custody of two policemen.
