HOSTILE NATIVES' ATTACK.

The members rif a party of gold seekers who arrived at Sydney to-day from Papua tell a stirring story of their adventures while prospecting in the latiri Hivcr legion.
The way was difficult. It led over towering limestone mountains. 'J hough the natives were outwardly friendly really they were hostile.
One party was compelled to fire on t lie natives who frequently left bunches of arrows in the while men's path as a sign that they were to turn back. Some Kukuku tribesmen, who aro head hunters, made two attacks on the prospectors' camp but were repelled.
