A STAFF DANCE.
A successful ball was held in Scots' Hall last evening by the staff of Messrs. John Court, Limited, at which there was a large attendance of dancers. The hall was attractively decorated with orange and green streamers, which were suspended from tho ceiling and these were interspersed with large clusters of balloons, which were later showered among the company. The ante-rooms had been made comfortable for sitting-out, with bamboo foliage and shaded lights. Bright and populat music was supplied by Edgar Bendall's Orchestra, the latest dance numbers being particularly appreciated. The ladies of the committee responsible for the enjoyment of the evening comprised: Mrs. Winn all, who was wearing flame embossed chenille georgette; Mrs. McEwan Naples-blue georgette beaded in silver- Mrs. Godsall, praline-pink georgette •' .Miss Walters, cameo-pink georgette 'beaded in silver; Miss Munce, green georgette; Miss Mincher, jade-green satin charmeuso; Miss Boon, black knifepleated chiffon; Miss Lishman black lioral ninon with Oriental shawl; Miss Hansen, black georgette with uneven lace skirt; Miss Furey, rose-pink georgette with pointed draperies; Miss Gafiney, ivorv taffeta; Miss Salter, silver lame corsage with blue frilled taffeta skirt; Miss Steele, Miss St. Clare, Miss McMillan, Miss O'Connell and Miss Gleeson. Also present were:—Mrs. Harold Court who was in blactf georgette embroidered with diamante and a white fur wrap; Miss Gwen Court, sea-green taiteta with bouffant petalled skirt; Mrs. T. Davidson, ro=e-pink embossed chenille georgette; Miss Matthews, silver lame and ivorv tulle.
