A PARLIAMENTARY TOUR.
SUGGESTION AT WESTPORT
[hy telegraph.—press association.] WESTPORT, Wednesday.
The hope is expressed at Wcstport that a Parliamentary week-end excursion will bo arranged to enable members of Parlaiment to see tho great earth and rockmovements in the vicinity of Lyell caused by tho recent earthquake. A boat, leaves Wellington on Saturday morning and will reach Wesfport on Sunday. It is stated that members could go by car to tho big slip at Arnold's and travel the rest of tho way on foot to Lyell. Tho excursion would enablo members of Parliament to appreciate the task tho Government lias in restoring tho roads to their former condition.
