OVERSEAS CREDITORS.
When a meeting of creditors in tho estate of an English hop-grower was held in Wellington tho other day it lapsed for want, of a quorum. Seeing that nil tho creditors wero English firms this was not surprising, but tho official assignee said that ho had to wait for tho statutory quarter of an hour in caso soino creditors turned up. 110 said that it' was possiblo that some had instructed someone in Now Zealand to act for thorn, but that any creditors themselves, oven in theso days of airships and seaplanes, wero likely to appear was hard I v probable, but the law had to bo complied with.
