POSTPONEMENT OF GRANTS,
Owing to there being no more dental nurses available until next year, the EduVl cation Department dooa not proposo to • recommend any grants toward the cost of the erection of dental clinics thi:> year. Advising tho Auckland Education Board of the position yesterday, the department stated thai the next draft of nurses would , complete their training toward the end of March, 1930, and would then be ready to take charge, of new clinics. A letter was received from the Bay of • -Plenty County Schools' Association asking for a dental caravan with nurses for >; schools in tho district. Tho association stated that the committees concerned '« would undertake to move the caravan from place to place. It was decided to ' acquaint the association with the position as regards nurses' and to forward to th c department the request for a caravan.
