DISPUTE OVER CHILD.
FATHER AND MOTHER DRUNK.
SEQUEL IN POLICE COURT*

HAMILTON, Monday.
A dispute between a man and his wife in Victoria Street, Hamilton, on Saturday afternoon, concerning the possession of a four-year-old child led to both partics being arrested. Tho man, Sydney Andrew Scott, was charged in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court to-day with being disorderly while drunk. His wife, Ruby Scott, was charged with drunkenness.
Constable Harris said he saw the accused pulling a child in different directions and behaving in a disorderly manner. Both were drunk. They were taken into custody and tho child was handed over to tho caro of tho Child Welfare Department.
Neither accused appeared in Court today. Scott was fined £2, and his wife was fined ,10s* ■
