ROTARY CONFERENCE.
THIRD PACIFIC FIXTURE,
SYDNEY MEETING IN MARCH.
The third Pacific Rotary Conference will be held in Sydney from Match. 18 to 20 next, according to advico received by tho Auckland Club. • Official representatives will be present from America and the British Isles, and it iB expected that the gathering will be the most representative held in Australia.
Two previous Pacific conferences have been lield, one at Honolulu in 1926, and the second at Tokio in 1928. A full gathering of representatives from clubs throughout Australia and New Zealand is asfcrtred, while it is expected that there will bo representative delegations from Honolulu, Western America, China and Japan.
Speakihg at a luncheon of the Auckland Rotary Club yesterday, Mr. . Charles Rhodes said it was desirable that a full delegation should go from New Zealand. He urged members to arrange their holidays so that they might attend the conference. It might bo possible to make New Zealand the location of the fourth Pacific conference.
Mr. Rhodes gave a description of the arrangements foi v delegates at the Rotary Conference held at Dallas, United States, this year. He said that there were visitors present representing 29 different countries. A splendid spirit of hospitality was shown bv tho townspeople, and delegates were well catered for in the way of entertainment. Tho speaker said "that his would like to see more of the spirit of good-will shown at such conferences in evidence at New Zealand gatherings.
