WELLINGTON CHAMPIONS.

Tho Wellington amateur boxing championship tourney was concluded to-night, when some promising form was witnessed in tho semi-finals ancl finals. Results wore:—
Paper-weights.—Final: F. Ward beat G. Isaacs.
Fly-weights.—Final: Iv. Wobb beat L, C. Higgs. Bantam-woights. Semi-finals: C. Woods beat N. Hanson; H. Knopp beat W. Parris. Final: Knopp boat Woods. Feathor-weights.—Final: C. Hoskyn beat F. Keith.
Light-weights.—Semi-final: G. Thomas bout J. Jackson. Final: G. Thomas beat TT. Thomas. The judges disagreed in tliin bout and the referee, Mr. Earl Stewart, gave bis decision for G. Thomas. The verdict was ironically received and it was announced immediately that, both brothers would be sent to the Now Zco land championship tourney. Welter-weights.—Semi-final: P. J. Stone knocked out F. Morris in the first round. Final: Stono knocked out N Uroft in the second round. Middle-weights.—J. Connors won by dofault. Light-heavyweights.—Final: W. Pearco beat J. Taskor. Heavy-weights.—J. Bolton won by default. The Jamieson medal for the most scientific boxer at the tournament was awarded to George Thomas.
