Parry (Labour — Auckland Central) would endeavour to follow tho argument instead of interrupting. Mr. A. M. Samuel (Refunn—Thames): it is very difficult to follow. While iho money rata did not depend on tho good looks of tho Government, it did depend on the good behaviour of 3 Government, contended Mr. Fletcher. Mr. D. -Jones (Reform —Mid-Canter-bury): Up - she goes, then. "Order! order!; there arc too many interruptions." warned the Speaker n littio later, when interject ions increased in intensity. Mr. Fletcher said he did not liko tho extra primage duty any better than any other member of the House. "Bui I prefer the whips of primage to the scorpions of Reform administration," he added. "There are too many interjections, and [ warn lion, members that they must not persist in that practice," saiu the Speaker during another lively cross talk.
