"APPLE SAUCE."
The celebrated comedy, "Apple Sauce," will be staged by tho J. C. Williamson, Ltd., management for a season of ten nights at His Majesty's Theatre, commencing ori Saturday evening. Barry Connors. the author of "The Patsy," wrote the play, which enjoyed record seasons in America and Australia. 'I he leading roles are played by Miss Ifuih Nugent and Alan Bunco, while George Trader and Miss Gertrude Eugarde will also make their first appearance in Now ZealandMr. Bunco, as Bill McAlistor in "Apple Sauce," was likened by Sydney critics to Fred Niblo, but Miss Buth Nugent, they stated, is a different type of actress from any that have previously appeared here. Her methods are, it is said, quite original and she is the possessor of a, charming and fascinating personality. "Apple Sauce" gives both these artists abundant opportunities to distinguish themselves as brilliant comedy artists and in "Laugh That Off" ami "Pigs," which aro also to be staged during the approaching ten nights' season, they will 'appear in characters in which they appeared with much success in America.
