, B GRADE REPRESENTATIVES. A. match will bo. played at Rangiriri on Saturday between a. team of Auckland* senior grade B representatives and tho Waikoria team. The Auckland team will bo selected from (lie following:—Stuart 02), Bishop. Wales. Salmon, Young (Marathon); Clark, Wordsworth (Kiucslaud): Mooreliouse, Lamb, Hudson (University): Packman. Leonard (Parnell); tlae, Palmer (North Shore); Hardmun. Greensmith (Suburbs); Heath. Dinefiehl (O(ahuhu). A practice will bo hold in tho Pousonby shed at 7 p.m. to-morrow, when the final selection will be niado. Any player unable to travel is requested to advise tho Kugby Uniou without delay.
AUCKLAND REFEREES. The Auckland Rugby Referees' Ahkoimiution met last evening, Mr. M. Kronfold presiding. Mr. E. W. (,'ulpitt was passed in his oral examination as a fully qualified member.
Mr. P. Stubbing was appointed to referee the match. Referees v. Kaipara juniors, subject to approval by Kaipava. Mr. A. A. Lucas was welcomed back to tho association after a few seasons' absence.
Mr. If. Frost suggested referees should adopt a uniform system of placing tho ball in tho scrum and endeavour to interpret tho advantage rule as liberally as possible.
INSURANCE COMPANIES' MATCH.
NEW ZEALAND V. SOUTH BRITISH
Tho aunnal Rugby football match between the South British Insurance Company and tho New Zealand Insurance Company was played at tho Domain, and in a very close game the New Zealand team emerged vio tors by one point, the final scores being:— Now Zealand Insurance. 1-; South British, 11. Tries were Bcored for New Zealand by Johnson. Hume and Sheriff, whilo Hook kicked a penalty goal. Vor the losers Tooswell scored two tries and Chins one. Ono try was converted by Kerr-Taylor.
