FLOODING OF PIOPIO ROAD. REQUEST TO HIGHWAYS BOARD. [BY TELEG It A r IT. —OW N CORRESPONDENT.] TE KUITI, Sunday. Tho Wailomo County Council met at tho week-end, ]\lr. K. Were presiding. The To Kuili Chamber of Commerce and the Aria Seftiers' Association wrolo expressing concern at the recurring flooding of the To Kuiti-Piopio main road, between the eight-mile and ten-mile pegs, and it was decided that the Main Highways Board bo written to with a request for assistance. An emphatic protest was made against the levying of an increased charge for the maintenance of main roads since tlie*r being taken over by tho Main Highways Board.
