ONE MONTH'S IMPRISONMENT

A charge of being the owner of a horse and failing to supply it with adequate food was admitted in the Police Court yesterday by Thomas Hussey, who elected to be dealt with summarily. Senior-Sergeant Fox said Hussey had tied his horse up in a section in Spey Street for several days and it had remained there until the police took charge of it. On Friday morning Hussey had bought it sixpence worth of chaff, which was all it had had during that time. lie (hen went away and bought a keg of beer and got drunk. Hussey was more or less of a nuisance in the town and he and his horse created a great deal of attention. The senior sergeant contended that Hussey was not fit to be at largo as he made no honest effort to obtain work.
