DREDGING BERTH RAISED.
The fact that the floor of Nelson Harbour had inexplicably risen twico in tho berth whero the dredge Kaiorio lies when pumping spoil 011 to the reclamation was mentioned by tho chairman, Mr. H. R. Duncan, at last week's meeting of tho Harbour Board. On Tuesday morning the Kaione was unable to get to hy usual position and an investigation showed that tho bottom had risen slightly. This had happened twice. Whether the occurrence was caused by the earthquake or was something to do with the reclamation work Mr. Duncan did not know*
