AIRMEN ANNOY GOLFERS.

The board of governors of tho Westbury Golf Club, says a message from New York, has gone one belter than the Englishman who erected a tall flagpole in his garden to prevent aeroplanes swooping down over his house to land on the adjoining airport. The Westbury Club has decided to erect a steel fence 125 ft. high and 2000 ft. long between Roosevelt Field and the golf course.

This action has been taken aB the result of a number of complaints received by the board that, forced landings endangered the lives of players, damaged the fairways, and in general had a bad effect on putting.;
