FAREWELL AFTERNOON. The St. George's Ladies' Guild held a social afternoon on Wednesday to bid farewell to Mrs. Jones, who is leaving Frankton. A pleasant time was spent with afternoon tea and talk. Mrs. Jones was presented with a little gift from the members of the guild bv Mrs. J. Gibl>ons. Before her departure from Hamilton for her new home in Khandallah, some of the many friends of Mrs. E. M. Cowie gave ;t farewell afternoon for her. Ilio feathering was held on Thursday at. Mrs. Sorrel's home, where the large livingroom afforded ample space for the many guests. The decorations were of early jonquils and mimosa. Several presentations were made to Mrs. Cowie during the afternoon, including a bouquet and basket of violets, a fur coat, a silver tray and afternoon teacups and saucers. Musical items were given by an instrumental trio —Miss N. Valder, Miss f. Leek and Miss 11. Ilevwood. Songs bv Mrs. C. Bennett and 'cello solos by Miss 11.
