Bennett, addressed a meeting at Bowfcers Beach, British Columbia, Inst evening. lie said it was not true that the Conservatives did not stand for tho development of Empire trade. They did not care though, whether it wero Britain, I'ranee, the United States or Italy, they were not going to give away Canada's markets without securing something in return Tho Conservatives were not in favour of any trade which might mean the destruction ot Canadian industry. What they did favour was an Economic Conference between representatives of the component parts ot the Empire so that they might discuss what each produces and the others do not.
