ELDERLY MAN'S DEATH, ON THE WAY TO WEDDING, $ Collapsing while walking along Karaagahape Road on Wednesday evening oft his way to St. John's Church, Par* nell, to attend the wedding of a relative, Mr. Patrick Meehan, aged 84, died shortly afterwards. Mr. Meehan, who was ft widower and lived at 42, West Street, had been attended by a doctor for some yenrt past for heart trouble, and as a certificate has been given, no inquest, will be necessary.

Mr. Meehan was an old resident c! Thames. He arrived with his wife in Auckland 60 years ago and went to work on the Thames goldfields. His wife predeceased him four years ago, there being a grown-up family of three sons and three daughters.
