A fortunate escape from injury was experienced by Miss Chamberlain of Mercer, when she fell from a train as it was running into tho yard at tho south end of the Mercer station at an early hour yesterday morning. Tho train left Auckland at 3.55 and was just about to pass tho second express from Wellington when the accident occurred. The passender wag taken by tho express to Pukekoho station where she received medical attention. Sho was suffering from shock.
