In accordance with his election pledge tho Mayor, Mr. II Coulter, gave notice of motion at last evening's' meeting of tho To Aroha Borough Council to bring forward a proposal to erect a town ball in To Aroha. 110 said the time had arrived for Iho township lo have a municipal building and ho produced sketches of the proposed structure. Tho sketches exhibited provided for a two-storeyed building, 60ft. bv 120 ft. Besides providing all tho necessary administrative offices, provision is made for a hall with seating for 620 persons, 390 on (ho ground floor and 2. 7 io in tho gallery. The suggested materials are reinforced concrete. • Lighting by a huge glass sky-light is also a feature.
