CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR.
GAMING BILL OPPOSED. Tlio executive of the New Zealand Christian Endeavour met this week, the Rev. Lionel Fletcher presiding. It was decided to send a telegram to the Prime Minister protesting against the proposed gaming hill and (ho granting of permits for art unions with cash prizes. The following appointments as vicepresidents of the New Zealand Union were approved The Revs. .A. S. Wilson and Eraser Barton, Auckland, 11. Johnston and F. li. Ilarrv, Wellington, A. N. Scotter, Chrisfehurch and Principal Haddon, Dunedin. The Rev. L. Fletcher and the secretary, Mr. N. Car loss, were appointed representatives to attend a gathermg at Wellington convened l>v Miss Jennie Street of the British Council.
