NEW WHARF AT AWANUI.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] IvAITAIA, Tuesday. Tho new wharf for tho Kaitaia Dairy Company at tiio factory site at Awanui has boon completed. It is a substantial structure, having a river frontage of 60ft. and a width of 50ft. Tho shed is 45ft. long and 26ft. Gin. wide. Tho wharf decking is constructed of puriri, tho piles of totara and tho stringers of kauri. Tho shed is of corrugatod iron with a framework of kauri and has a dead-weight capacity of 250 tons. Later it is proposed to instal a gravity conveyor in order that may be loaded into tho ships' hold direct from tho factory cooler. There is ample mooring room for a vessel lying alongside tho new wharf, which has been erected on the company's own sito in such a position that butter shipment will bo greatly facilitated. Tho total cost of the work is about £llOO.
