ASSAULT ON CONSTABLE.
TWO MEN SENT TO PRISON.

As a sequel to a fracas which took place at a social in the public hall, To Kaha, on June 29, Peeti Topi was this afternoon charged with assaulting Police Constable Pirini. Pare Kura Brown was charged with resisting the same constable.
After a lengthy hearing each man was convicted and sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment.
