RIVERS AGAIN RISING.

FARMER'S HEAVY LOSSES

[n.Y TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NELSON, Tuesday. Further heavy rain fell throughout the night and this morning, but there are now signs of belter weather. Molucka reports that rain is still falling, and tho rivers are rising again, causing further anxiety to settlers along the river course. Tho rainfall at Mbtueka for tho past nine days is over Win. The Motucka River has made many changes during the past ten days as a result of floods. Fully 50 acres of sheep country, a section of Mr. L. Sinclair's farm, has been covered by the river or rendered of little value. Mr. Sinclair said he had been compelled through last week's flood to disposo of half his flock, and would now have to sell more, as he had not the land to graze them. Ilis original farm a few years ago consisted of about 130 acres. He is now left with about 30 acres.

ANOTHER SEVERE SHOCK.

WESTPORT AGAIN SHAKEN.

RESIDENTS' NERVES SUFFER. [t)V TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] WESTPORT, Tuesday. Following a big shock experienced at 8.27 last evening, a more severe earthquake was felt at 3.45 this morning. On both occasions the town was severely shaken, and this morning people wore in a state of nervous tension. The effect on people's nerves was most serious, and many women wcro in a state of collapse. Instead of easing off, the shakes appear to bo gaining in sevority. (
