COSTES TURNS BACK.
POLES IN DIFFICULTIES. AN EMERGENCY LANDING. Australian and N'.Z. Press Association. (Received July It. 11.35 p.m.) PARIS. July 13. The Air Ministry announces the receipt of a wireless message from Lisbon stating that Captain Coste.s and his companion, after passing north of the Azores at 6 p.m., turned back to France. At 6.15 p.m. he was reported from Ilorla.
The two Polish airmen reported being about 30 miles from Fayal Island, one of the Azores, at 6.30 p.m. They were then preparing to make an emergency landing.
