TE AWAMUTU NEWS.
The monthly social meeting of the Te Awamntu Women's Institute was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. 1L K. Collins opened proceedings by reading a Seller from Mrs. Dormaa, president of the Auckland Provincial Federation, asking the local branch to assist in the raisins of money toward the earthquake fund. In respon.se a "brins arid bay'* stall was arranged, to be held next Ltcntii. Mrs. J. (I. Wynyard gave a most, interesting talk, entitled '"Women and Their lii.latnce," which v.as much appreciated. . v >j;se. which were given by Mrs. Vincent, Mrs. Ashmore and Mrs. Andrew, and pianoforte selections by Mrs. E. White, comprised a most enjoyable musical programme. Mrs. E. White (piano) and Miss P- Gibson (violin) were the accompanists. -V raffia demonstration by Mrs. G. Hail <Hairini j, organised by Mrs. Ashmore. created a creat deal of
