The monthly social meeting of the Te Awamntu Women's Institute was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. 1L K. Collins opened proceedings by reading a Seller from Mrs. Dormaa, president of the Auckland Provincial Federation, asking the local branch to assist in the raisins of money toward the earthquake fund.
