MAINTENANCE ARREARS.
In the. Children's Court at Pertli, Western Australia, recently, James Livrsy Haic. aged about was trneed to 12 months' imprisonment with hard labour for having failed to comply with n maintenance order. His arrears of payment amounted to £562. Ho had paid nothing on the. order since it was made in Fohruary, 1924. Tho sentence is the most severe that, has ever been imposed in the Perth Children s Court
