COMMUNITY SINGING.

SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. A most successful hour of community singing was held in tho Town Hall yesterday afternoon, Mr. G. Grey Campbell presiding over a largo gathering. Tho collection, which was in aid of local charitable institutions, was tho largest yet received. A special attraction was the appearance of the Kentucky Jubilee Singers, who contributed ;t number of songs, including a solo, " Old Black Joe." Mr. M. Guthrie acted as song leader, and Mrs. Barrington-Snow as accompanist. Prior to tho' community singing a gramophone recital of plantation and other popular melodies was given by Lewis Eady, Ltd.
