COMPLAINTS BY MOTORISTS.

REFLECTORS RARELY USED.

Complaint against the widespread disregard of lighting regulations by cyclists was made at, tho meeting of tlie council of the Auckland Automobile. Association last evening. Members remarked that many riders appeared to place full responsibility on motorists for safety 011 the road. They ignored precautions with immunity from prosecution.

Tho secretary, Air. .G. W. Hutchison, said 80 per cent, of cyclists disregarded tiio regulation regarding the fitting of red rear reflectors. The association had repeatedly drawn attention to the hazards, and the police had been asked to enforce observance.

Mr. F. O. Farrell said that during a night, drive on the Great South Koad he had passed 26 cycles between Penrose and Otahuhu which lacked even front lights.
