POLICY OF GOVERNMENT.
STATEMENT TO BE MADE. British Wireless. f!UGB\, July 8 The Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, replying to a question in the House of Commons, said the policy of the Government regarding the Singapore naval base was under consideration, and an announcement would be made as early as possible. All matters germane to tho subject, including the purely commercial purposes to which the naval base could bo put, would be considered.
