REASSURING REPORT.
WALK 'TAKEN IN GARDEN. •)
BULLETIN NOT ISSUED
Australian rnrl X./. Press Association. (Received July 9. p.m.) LONDON. July P
King George's new trouble? is merely local, but it lias necessitated the postponement of his trip to Sandringhani, and there is consequent public anxiety.
The Prince ot Wales arrived at Buckingham Palace at 12.30 p.m. today to make inquiries as to his father's health, and received a reassuring report. The King is not confined to bed, and bis general health continues to be good.
The doctors made an X rav examination (his afternoon in order to assure themselves that there was no change in the development of the abscess.
There is no likelihood of a bulletin being issued after the X-ray examination, as tlie King's condition does not warrant such a step. The King took his usual daily walk in the grounds of Buckingham Palace.
A British official wireless messago says the X-ray examination was decided upon after a visit to Buckingham Palace last evening bv Lord Dawson of Pcnn. It took place this afternoon, arid it was officially stated this evening that X-ray photographs of the sinus in His Majesty's light chest were taken this afternoon, and will be examined in the next 24 hours. The consultation during which the X-ray photographs were taken, lasted for an hour and a-qr«?rter, and was attended by Dr. Graham Hodgson, radiologist, Lord Dawson, Sir Hugh Rigbv, Sir Stanlev Hewett and Dr. IT. L. Martyn, the King's Windsor doctor, who is staying at the Palace.
It is learned officially that Iho King spent' practically the whole day in the garden. Late to-night it was stated that he was quite comfortable. It is considered unlikely that tho King will move from the Palace for at least a week.
Sir Stanley Hewett and Dr. Martyn will stay at the Palace to-night. The Prince of Wales will hold a full dress official investiture to-morrow at St. James' Palace on behalf of the King. According to present arrangements a T'oyal garden party will be held at the Palace on Julv 25.
