ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting ol Hie Lyceum Club was held in the club rooms last evening. The president, Mrs. \\. 11. I'arkes, presided over a very large at tendance of members. In the course of a speech reviewing the activities and progress of the club during '.lie past year. Mrs. I'aikes said tlio bal-ance-sheet levealed a very satislactory state of the club's finances and seemed to pislify the optimism o( those members who believed that success had eoiuo to stay. Mrs. I'arkes paid a warn; tribute to I lie lioilse commit tee, w ho had worked willingly and most cheerlully all these vears to ensure the comfort of members generally. The club was also fortunate in possessing a splendid finance committee, who exercised the most vigilant care in cheeking items of expenditure. The fust annual meeting in the new clubhouse marked an epoch in its histoiy.
