CONTROL BOARD MEETING

CHATHAM CUP EXTENSION

PROPOSED NAVAL MATCII

The control board of the Auckland Football Association met last evening, the chairman, Mr. A. Mcnzics, presiding.

The senior division committee drew up nn amendment to the tide concerning the forfeiture of points in consequence of playins unregistered players. The report is to be submitted to a special general meeting. lt was found necessary to play a preliminary round in the Falcon Cup to eliminate one team. The senior division committee advised that only one more Saturday could be allowed for the Chatham Cup competition and the remaining sanies would liavo to bo played on week nights. A letter from the New Zealand Football Association notifying that Auckland would be allowed an extra v.eck for the completion of the Chatham Cup competition was welcomed.

The Auckland City Council wrote intimating that every endeavour would be made to effect an improvement in regard to petty pilfering at the various giounds.

It was decided to try lo arrange a match between 11.M.5. Philomel and a team from the visiting French warship on August it. The South Auckland Association declined v.-itli reluctance the invitation to play a

junior representative curtain-raiser game to the English trophy match.
