LORRY'S DASH DOWN HILL.
MEN LEAP FOR SAFEiTY,
ONE SEVERELY INJURED.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Monday. A lorry travelling on the Paekakariki Hill yesterday afternoon got out of control. Hs three occupants jumped for safety, but one of them, Horace Wainwright, a labourer, of Pahautanui, struck a post and was severely injured. The lorry came to rest across a fence with two wheels on one side and over a bank. Wainwright's injuries are a fractured shoulder, a wound in the left leg, lacerated wounds in his head, and shock.
