FAIRY OPERETTA.
A fairy operetta entitled "A Rose Dream" was presented to a largo audienco at the Picturedrome at Milford last evening. The proceeds of the entertainment were in aid of the Milford Troop of Girl Guides. The producer was Mrs. 11. M. Scales, who also had trained the guides taking part in the performance. The stage setting was very attractive and the story portrayed the strange adventures of a littlo girl who was lost in fairyland. The part of little Rose was taken by Joan Cadness, and llop-o-my-Thumb was played by Sylvia Scales, who also gave two solo dances. The cast of characters was as follows Fairy Queen, Joan Brown; the giant, Fleurette Brown; the twins, Joyce Kean and Barbara Goodwin; door fairy, Iris Williams; rosebud, Dorothy Cadness; rose chcvrus, E. Chandler, M. Andrews, A. Stevenson, G. Murphy, M. Dunmore, K. Coles, M. Darrell, G. Howe; elves, B. Kensington, J. Gillett, J. Goodwin, M. Brown, M. Brookbanks; fairies, R. Hinton, Lyola Lawrence, M. Birch, F. Twining, J. O'Neill. Tho pianiste was Miss M. Christensen; the violins. Peggy Sexton, Cicely Putwain, Sylvia Davis, G. Andrews; 'cello, Miss Hunt; flute, Mr. David.
