In tlio lawn tennis championships at Wimbledon in the semi-finals of the men's doubles Gregory and Collins (Britain) boat Lott and Hennessey (America), 4—6, 7_5 6—l, 4—6, 7—5; Allison and Vanryn (America) beat Tilden and Hunter (America), 6 —3, 12 —10, 6—3. In the women's singles Miss Helen Jacobs (America) beat -Miss Joan Ridley (Britain), 6—2, 6-2; Miss Helen Wills (America) beat Miss Goldstack (Britain), 6—2, 6—o. In the women's doubles Mrs. Co veil and Mrs. Barron beat Miss Ryan and Miss Nuthall, 6—4, 3—6, 9-7.
In the mixed doubles Farquharson and Miss Heino beat Borotra and Miss Bouman, 10 —8, 2 —6, 7—5.
