SERIES OF DANCES. Die first •>! a series of dances to bo helrl each month by the Badminton Club of Auckland, organised by Paymaster-Cap tain Cunlille Parker took place in St Mary's Hall, Parnell last evening The dance mtisn was supplied by a pana trope, and the keenness of the weather added a further zest to dancing Drapings of tlags madi attractive decorations to the hall, and supper was served on the stage which had ticei- curtained off for the oc casion Bowls of pink roses and pink and white camellia.- made charming deco rations to the tables The arrangements for the dance were very comprehensive, and Paymaster-Captain CunlifFo-Parker, who is acting as secretary, was largely in strumental tor its success.

Firth black georgette em bossed with silver , Mrs Fullerton. black 'ace over satin, Mrs H VV Wilson, hlack laco ; Mrs Hugh Fenton black georgette beaded in crystal Mrs Thomas, silver tissue, and lace; Miss Althea Parker beigp flowerco lace >voi pale blue ijeor gette
Miss Jocelyt, Bloomfield wore cardinal rod georgette with a gold lame mandarin jacket; Miss Doreen Bullock Webster blue and beige chenille banded with geor gette in the same shades; Miss Gwen Ful lerton biscuit shaded net with ribbon trimming in shades of brown; Miss Marjone Stewart, powdei blue georgette with diamante buckle; Miss Audrey Alison, green beaded georgette; Miss Stokes, silver lace with uneven hemline; Miss Jean Lawfoni, delphinium blue taffeta; Miss .loan Hudson, almond green chenille; Miss Audrey Hutchinson, apple green georgetto; Miss L Waller, floral georgette with cherry shaded shawl; Miss Rose mary Waller, apple green georgette; Miss S Smith nigh> nlue tissue with black lace side panels; Miss Lloyd, apple green ring velvet; Miss 0 Thomas petunia f affeta with shawl to tone
