ALLEGATION OF THEFT.
FORMER SOLICITOR CHARGED.
AMOUNT OF £650 INVOLVED. REMAND MADE ON BAIL. Raymond Bradford Purser, aged 28, formerly a solicitor practising in Auckland, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in tho Police Court yesterday, charged with receiving £650 between August 1, 1928, and April 30, 1929, on terms requiring him to account for tho money to David Uoss, and with failing to do so, thereby committing theft Chief-Detective Hammond asked for a remand until Monday, July 15. Mr. Northcroft said that a responsible citizen was prepared to put up bail for accused. Bail was fixed at £SOO.
Purser was recently struck off tho rolls on tho application of tho Law Society.
