CYCLING.
THE WHAKATANE CLUB.
[BY TELEGRAFH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHAKATANE, Friday.
The annual meeting of the Whakatanc Cycling Club was held last evening, Mr. E. N. Law presiding. The report stated that 26 races had been held during tho past season and trophies and cash prizes to the value of £6O had been presented. There was a credit balanc.6 in hand. Several new members had joined and the coming season promised to bo very successful.
Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: —President. Mr. W. Cartwright; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. F. Moncur and J. Moore ; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. Bridger; starter and timekeeperi, Mr. A. Shaw; handicapper, Mr. C. W. Loane; committee, Messrs. W. Griffiths, R. Henry, E. Nolan.
