BANK HOLIDAYS.
OFFICERS' GUILD REFERENCE " A good deal of interest in the subject of bank holidays has been aroused, mainly by reason of the critical attitude taken up by various chambers of commerce," states the annual report of tho New Zealand Bahk Officers' Guild. It is understood that, acting on the suggestion of the Associated Banks, the chambers of commerce are preparing a list of proposed bank holidays. I his schedule is to bo discussed by the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. The executive committee has had this subject under consideration, and is in communication with the executive of the chambers of commerce. The question will also be dealt with at the coming guild conference. It is hoped that an arrangement satisfactory to all parties will be soon arrived at/'
